The original OE oil cooler from BMW is an all metal design which would make you think it would be fairly robust. However, there are several weak spots in the design that make it far less durable than it could be. The CSF design resolves these issues with more robust materials and reinforcing weak points. At first glance, the original BMW OE oil cooler appears solid due to its all-metal construction. However, design weaknesses make it far less durable than expected. CSF tackled these flaws by using stronger materials and reinforced engineering to create a superior replacement:
CSF collaborated with the team at Carbahn to create a drop-in solution for both the F1X, F9X, and G9X platforms. Designed handle the extra heat of their S63 Stroker Kit, this oil cooler built for ultimate performance and power.
The CSF #8317 Cooling product is designed to be a "Drop-In Fit" application. The product will install in the OEM Location with no modifications necessary unless otherwise noted or instructions are included in the product package. Please see the manufacturer repair manual for standard installation instructions. If you do not feel confident installing this product CSF recommends taking it to a qualified installation facility.
